If Black Kemba proved anything in its first season in “The League,” it’s that it’ll do anything to make its team better. After a record 11 trades, including three in one day, Black Kemba advanced to the postseason in its first try. Although those trades kept it competitive and ultimately helped it clinch a playoff spot, some injuries cost it a realistic shot at advancing in the playoffs. It fell 11-0 to BKnets914 in the first round, ending a positive debut season in “The League.”

Black Kemba's second season proved its methods work, trading its way to another playoff berth. This time it got hot when it matters most, defeating three higher seeds on its way to its first championship. Black Kemba found it difficult to repeat and missed the playoffs the following season for the first time in franchise history. The season following that was similarly disappointing as the franchise suffered through its worst season ever, missing out on the postseason for the second consecutive year.

The franchise got back to its trading ways the following season, pulling off a number of blockbuster deals in both the offseason and regular season. Those trades helped it build one of “The League’s” best rosters, which helped it win its first regular-season title in franchise history. Its star-laden roster carried it to its second finals appearance, but it came up short losing to Lopez Towers in a narrow defeat that could have gone either way.

The five seasons prior to its two-year hiatus from 2022-2024 continued to display that Black Kemba is one of the premier franchises in league history. During the five-year stretch, it qualified for the postseason five times, it won two more regular-season titles, and advanced to a third final. It sits top-five in "The League's" record books in championship appearances, playoff games, and playoff appearances, and its three regular-season titles are tied for the most in league history. Welcome back to "The League" Ryan.
