2010, 2024

The 2010 season changed everything for FORTYS. In the four years prior to that season, FORTYS was the team that was always in the thick of the playoff hunt, but could never get the one win it needed to get into the postseason. Its only playoff appearance before 2010 was in 2006, its first season in “The League.” But 2010 began a string of playoff dominance. Although it posted modest regular-season records of 6-7 (2010, 2011) and 7-6 (2012), FORTYS got hot when it mattered most, advancing to three consecutive championship games. In 2010, it defeated No. 1 seed The Natural Born Kylers in the final to earn its first title.
While FORTYS is one of just three teams in league history to advance to three straight finals, its 2-3 record in its championship opportunities — it lost another final in 2015 — is something to forget. It's also missed the playoffs seven times in the 12 seasons since those three straight finals appearances, posting three-win seasons in 2018 and 2020.
The 2024 season helped change the narrative, however, with the franchise enjoying its best season ever. It won nine games for just the second time ever, advanced to its first postseason since 2019, won its first playoff game and advanced to its first final since 2015, and finally secured the franchise's second championship. It went 14 years between championships, but it's now one of seven franchises with multiple titles.
