SampDeez has come a long way as a franchise since its one-year hiatus from “The League” in 2008. Prior to its one-year absence, SampDeez posted a 14-27 record, including a 0-13 campaign in 2007, the only winless season in league history. Its return in 2009 was possibly the hardest season to make sense of in our league’s existence. SampDeez started 0-6, then rolled off six straight after a big mid-season trade to acquire Drew Brees, finished 6-7 and made the playoffs for just the second time.

SampDeez’s first back-to-back playoff appearances came in 2011 and 2012, including its first division title in 2011. However, none of its small regular-season success carried over into the postseason. Prior to the 2018 season, it was 0-5 in the playoffs and was the only franchise in league history yet to win a playoff game at the time. That's all out the window now following the most improbable season and playoff run "The League" has ever witnessed.

SampDeez started the 2018 season 0-4, won four straight to get back to .500, but lost three of its final five games and needed a win in Week 13 just to make the playoffs. In the postseason it upset the other two titleless franchises The Bills Mafia and Mighty Morphin Bower Rangers to win its first playoff games and advance to its first final. The win over Mighty Morphin Bower Rangers was especially shocking after the regular-season champion had the best season in league history. It then needed every point it could muster in the final against BallSoHardU, winning in nail-biting fashion in a 0.48-point win to capture the franchise's first championship. SampDeez was just the second below-.500 team in league history to win a title and just the fourth since realignment to win three playoff games en route to a championship.

It enjoyed the franchise's best stretch to date from 2022-2023, winning double-digit games for the first time in back-to-back seasons, winning the franchise's first regular-season title in 2022, consecutive division titles, and it became the fifth active franchise with multiple championships following its 2023 title.
