By taking over the franchise formerly known as BallSoHardU, Keane Ryan became the first new member of "The League" with no prior experience since 2008. Ryan brings with him a wealth of fantasy football knowledge and experience, and it'll be interesting to see where the new owner takes this franchise from here.
If season one is any indication then this franchise is in good hands. Ryan made a couple of bold moves in the offseason, trading out of the first round of the draft and acquiring Lamar Jackson. Jackson was the right player to tie his franchise's success to, however, as Jackson finished the 2019 season as "The League's" highest-scoring player. He helped The New York Nix qualify for the postseason in its first season, and although it dropped a close game in the quarterfinals Ryan has clearly gotten this franchise heading in the right direction.
2020 was a step back for the franchise, however, losing its final five games to finish 3-10 and miss the postseason for the first time under its new owner. Ryan did use the season to stockpile potential keepers through the draft and trades, giving him his best group of keepers since he joined "The League." That resulted in the franchise's second postseason berth in 2021, but it was one-and-done in the quarterfinals once again.
2022 was the same story, another postseason berth but another one-and-done postseason trip, and 2023 and 2024 resulted in consecutive non-playoff seasons. "The League's" keeper reset provided the franchise with a much-needed and much-deserved fresh start, and it followed suit with the best season in franchise history. It won its first division and regular-season titles, won its first playoff game and advanced to its first final, but fell short in a title-game loss to Soon 2 B Champ.
