After a modest start to its time in “The League,” CeeDee's Lamb has experienced the ultimate highs and lows of fantasy football over the last 16 seasons. After two early playoff exits in its first three seasons, CeeDee's Lamb burst onto the scene in 2009 when it won regular-season, scoring, division, and championship titles, all firsts for the franchise. It's been a mixed bag since, however, with CeeDee's Lamb winning another title in 2016 — and advancing to another final in 2014 — but missing the postseason nine times in the last 13 seasons.
CeeDee's Lamb's three-year playoff drought from 2017-2019 was especially frustrating considering it came on the heels of the franchise's second title in 2016. It became the fifth team in league history to win multiple championships, but bad luck and heartache quickly followed. It was in the playoff hunt each of those three straight non-playoff seasons, even sitting 5-5 entering Week 11 in 2018 and 2019, but poor finishes to the season left it on the outside looking in. It finally got back to the postseason in 2020 despite a slew of injuries, and that was the first step in the right direction for the franchise despite its quarterfinal defeat.
It took that next step in submitting its name to the conversation regarding "The League's" best franchises by getting back to the final for the first time since 2016 — winning its first playoff game since 2016 in the process — and claiming the franchise's third championship in 2022. It's now one of three franchises with at least three championships.
