World Series MVP: Yoshinobu Yamamoto
The Los Angeles Dodgers clinched another division title in 2025, and made quick work of the National League side of the postseason losing just one game across three series to make a second straight World Series appearance and fifth in the last nine years. There they met the Toronto Blue Jays, making their first World Series appearance since they won back-to-back titles in 1992 and 1993. After splitting the first two games in Toronto, the Dodgers won Game 3 in 18 innings on a walk-off homer by Freddie Freeman in the longest World Series game of all-time. The Blue Jays took Games 4 in 5 in Los Angeles, but dropped Games 6 and 7 in Toronto in heartbreaking fashion and the Dodger became the first repeat champs since 2000,
